Our Union Jack flags are not printed—they are constructed from individual pieces of high-quality, Ministry of Defence (MoD) approved 155gsm woven polyester. This robust material is the strongest fabric available for outdoor flag use, ensuring your flag can withstand the UK's demanding weather conditions.

    Why is 'Hand Sewn' Superior?

    • Authentic Craftsmanship: Each of the 31 individual pieces of the Union Jack's design is hand-cut and then expertly stitched together with a double-stitched "felled seam." This technique interlocks the raw edges, trapping the first row of stitching within the seam and protecting the fabric from the elements.⁶
    • Vibrant, Fade-Resistant Colours: Unlike printed flags that can fade over time, the rich, woven fabric maintains its vibrant red, white, and blue, ensuring your flag looks brilliant for longer,
    • Durability: We use strong, bonded nylon threads in all the hems, with a minimum of two rows of stitching on every edge. The fly end—the part of the flag that takes the most stress—features an impressive four rows of stitching for maximum longevity.
